The winners had this to say :

PATRICIA GAGIC : “This is a moment of reflection, first to be recognized as a Canadian woman in the global art arena and second to share these honors with so many deserving women! Sincere gratitude to my nominator Kaime and those who supported this nomination. Every recipient and nominee have “Raised the Bar” and I applaud each and every one of them. Our hometown community are incredible supporters and I feel so blessed to part of it. I dedicate this award to my dear friend, the late Dr. Ruth Dwyer and who wrote one of my support letters for the Women of Inspiration. She passed away recently but I know she is in heaven cheering and celebrating with me. Congratulations and gratitude to Monica Kretschmer the Founder of UWN and all the Ambassadors who made this possible. I am deeply humbled. When we celebrate the designed success it is a salute to all. Each of us contributes in some way to inspire one another. The achievements are not mine, rather they are ours to celebrate as an appreciative inquiry into finding our ability to create with equanimity.”

TRACY LAMOURIE : “It’s an incredible day for Lamourie Media!” Lamourie, who also represents Gagic, said about the awards ceremony. “In addition to my win for Women In Media, which is super exciting, I’m very happy that Patricia was recognized with a much deserved Lifetime Achievement award, I’m absolutely thrilled that my 13 year old worldchanger client, 13 year old Oshawa based singer songwriter BOLU who made national impact this summer with her social justice themed song MAKE IT RIGHT was also recognized with the Youth Excellence Award — that truly means SO much to to me- and that Toronto based Lorin MacDonald, the attorney who took our daughter Haily Butler Henderson’s human rights case to the Ontario Human Rights Tribunal and won, was also recognized at Women Of Inspiration with the Diversity and Inclusiveness Award for 2020. AND many of my awesome power women clients across industries from all over Canada were finalists for their important work — so I couldn’t be prouder today. I’m so grateful to the Universal Women’s Network for not letting Covid get in the way of shining a well deserved light on the women across Canada who build businesses, build community, and build up each other! It’s so important to provide that encouragement, especially in these difficult times.”
