Covid might have kept this dynamic Toronto born artist on this side of the border and away from his regular Los Angeles stomping grounds, where he’s known to hang out and work with some of hip hop’s historic names — but it certainly hasn’t dampened his vibe.
He’s been wracking up a litany of successes in spite of the pandemic — from international magazine profiles to releases with internationally known Canadian artists to being named the Vice President of the INSPIRE AWARDS — “an annual event celebrating the contributions groups and individuals have made to the LGBTQ community in the Greater Toronto Area.”
Count Klassy’s fans old and new have been waiting with bated breath for the release of his brand new video, DREAMS — which will be unveiled to the public for the first time on Oct 18th on youtube.
When asked to describe the video, the artist had this to say : “”This is my first time putting my creativity to video. I wanted to pay homage to the witchy-centric theme, a tribute to Stevie Nicks herself, while keeping the music video eye catching-and stimulating”
The first public showing was at the video’s world premier, limited to 20 people, held at the Women in Cannabis Calendar Launch Party on , Oct 17 2021. Reflecting on the video,Count Klassy said, “Taking on a cover of a classic song like Dreams from Fleetwood Mac is a lot of pressure, so I hope I made them proud with my EDM /hip hop interpretation of their massive hit.”
Industry watchers who have heard Count Klassy’s version say it has all the makings of a hit for our times, too.
