(Calgary, Mon July 12) Today, Hempfest Cannabis Expo announces its triumphant return to Calgary for it’s fifth incredible year of cannabis entertainment, education, and opportunity for Canadian cannabis consumers — and some visitors from over the border. The family run team at Hempfest Canada have been recognized as industry leaders running one of the topCannabis Expos in Canada since 2015. In addition to the regular Hempfest festivities, the 2021 Calgary Expo also hosts the 3rd annual Hempfest Cup.

Organizers are also excited that in a historic win, **Cannabis consumption IS permitted** within the festival grounds at Canada Olym[ic Park for this event. “The 2021 Expo is at a new venue with some exciting changes,” says Hempfest’s Sacha Hockenhull. “We are ready to launch our 5th Hempfest Calgary — set to change the landscape with our legal cannabis consumption in our festival grounds. With our new venue we will have indoor and outdoor space, which means that for the first time ever, you can now consume Cannabis AT Hempfest. As always, you can expect to find local talent, exhibitors from Cannabis retailers, LP’s, industry experts, health care, head shops and MUCH MORE. ”

In TributeTo Budtenders — After a difficult year, all retail cannabis store workers industry wide offered free “VIB” (Very Important Budtender) pass in honor of their work as front line workers in the industry. According to organizers, “Hempfest Calgary would like to pay homage to the budtenders of the industry by offering all budtenders a VIB badge to the event for free. Volunteers Are needed! — Hempfest Calgary is grassroots production and we couldn’t do what we do without all the awesome volunteers we have had over the past 5 years.
