So if you’re uncomfortable with gay artists in hip hop — you’re just gonna have to “get used to it!” as the signs used to say…because this incredibly talented new bi racial artist is challenging those decrepit attitudes. In fact, industry watchers have been saying, he is “smashing barriers of homophobia in hiphop.”
COUNT KLASSY is an incredible, new age hip hop artist about to burst onto the scene in a big way — with compelling, original music that grabs the listener and gets them grooving before they even realize they are experiencing history.
Yes, this talented artist, a proud member of Canada’s LGBTQ community — truly is breaking barriers, and he’s doing some great work destigmatizing cannabis too! His genre busting album includes the song GOOD VIBES — with guest vocals from one of Canada’s biggest rap stars, Choclair — which cannabis themed magazine SKUNK, a glossy North America wide print publication, called the “Cannabis anthem of the year” in a recent article.
Launching out of Toronto, a city that has become known as a true musical hub full of unique talents, COUNT KLASSY is no stranger to the fame game. The artist spent some time in Los Angeles as a ghostwriter and social media expert working closely with Grammy-Award winning musicians and moves in a world of celebrities. “I’ve been ghostwriting for some Grammy-award winning talent, and thought it was about time to be in front of the camera, especially as a role model for the younger generations,” he told Skunk magazine about his debut album. “We need more queer representation in media!”
